Dear Parents / Carers,
Welcome back to Term 4! We hope you had a wonderful break.
This term, our topic will focus on Around the World. We are looking at Africa and African animals to contrast with Polar lands from last term.
In Mathematics, our Reception children will concentrate on ordering of numbers to 10, using language of less than. We will look at doubles – explore how some numbers can be made with 2 equal parts and we will sort numbers according to attributes, eg: odd and even numbers
Our Year 1 children will focus onfractions, multiplication & division as well as addition and subtraction facts within 10.

Additionally, please continue to view Tapestry, where we enjoy sharing the children’s work with you and any additional information.
Our PE session will take place on Wednesdays. It is important that your child comes to school in appropriate PE kit. Please ensure that jewellery is not worn for PE, and that hair is tied back for safety.
We ask that you continue to support your child at home with daily reading. Reading books will be changed on a weekly (depending on which colour book your child is reading), however, please ensure that your child brings their reading books to school each day.
