Welcome to Badger Class
Welcome back to Term 5. We hope that you had a peaceful and happy Easter break!
During this term, we will be learning about reproduction and life cycles of animals (including humans) in Science, as well as learning about the sustainability in Geography. For more information on this and the different subject areas, please see the topic web. We hope you find the topic web gives you a brief insight into some of the exciting activities we will be doing this term in the other areas of the curriculum.
During this term, year 4 will be working hard to get ready for the Multiplication Check (due to take place in term 6). We will be testing them on their knowledge and speed recall of the times tables to 12. Please continue to support their daily practice of times tables on TT Rockstars.
This term, our PE sessions will be Monday (Cricket) and Thursday (Athletics). Please ensure that your child comes to school in appropriate PE kit for an outdoor PE session on these days. Jewellery should not be worn for PE and hair should be tied back for safety.
We ask that you continue to support your child at home with reading, spellings and times table practice. These systems will work in the same way as last term. Reading books will be changed on a Friday if the reading record has been signed at least 3 times a week. We encourage you to read with your children daily as this aids with fluency and comprehension.
Our value this term is Courage and we will be supporting the children to explore what it means to be courageous.
