Deer Class

Dear Parents and carers,

Welcome to our final term. We hope that you had a wonderful break and all rested up after PGL and SATs!

During this term, In our English lessons we will be focusing on the short film Alma. In our afternoon subjects we will be learning about Electricity in Science, as well as further learning about the events of WW2. For more information on this and the different subject areas, please see the topic web. We hope you find the topic web gives you a brief insight into some of the exciting activities we will be doing this term in the other areas of the curriculum.

This term, our PE sessions will be Monday and Tuesday focusing on Rounders to begin with to practice before our Rounders Tournament at Warneford. Then we will focus on atheletics in the build up to Sports Day. Please ensure that your child comes to school in appropriate PE kit for an outdoor PE session on these days. Jewellery should not be worn for PE and hair should be tied back for safety.

We ask that you continue to support your child at home with SATs revsion including reading, spellings and times table practice. These systems will work in the same way as last term.  Please see Mr Hope if you need any support with this.

• Friday 17th July – Reports out to parents 
• Tuesday 21st July – Y6 Leavers Assembly 
• Wednesday 22nd July – Last day of term - 1pm finish
