Hedgehog Class

Dear Parents / Carers,

I hope you have all had a wonderful summer holiday and enjoyed some special time together. We are very much looking forward to welcoming the children back to school and beginning an exciting new academic year.

For some of the children, this year will bring a familiar face, while for others I will be their new class teacher. I am delighted to be joining them on their learning journey and cannot wait to get to know each child, celebrate their achievements, and support them as they continue to grow in confidence and independence.

This year, we are also pleased to welcome Miss Hawkins, who will be joining our class as a student teacher. I will be working closely with Miss Hawkins to support her in completing her training, and I know the children will enjoy getting to know her. We are very excited to have her as part of our classroom team.
 

This term we will be focusing on settling back into school routines, building positive relationships, and creating a happy, supportive classroom environment where everyone feels valued. We have lots of exciting learning planned across the curriculum, with opportunities for the children to explore, investigate, create, and develop new skills.

To help your child have a successful start to the year, please ensure that:

• All uniform and belongings are clearly named.
• Reading books and reading records are brought to school each day.
• Children arrive on time, ready for the day ahead.
   

Reading regularly at home makes a huge difference to children's progress and confidence. We encourage you to spend a few minutes each day sharing books and discussing what your child has read.

If you have any questions, concerns, or information you would like to share, please do not hesitate to contact me through the school office or speak to me at the end of the school day when appropriate.
