Hedgehog Class

Dear Parents and Carers,

Welcome to Term 2!

As we look forward to another busy and exciting term in Hedgehog Class, we would like to share some important information and highlight the special events and celebrations we have planned as we approach Christmas. We are especially looking forward to our Reception and Key Stage 1 Nativity performances, our whole-school trip to the pantomime, and our cosy Stories by Candlelight event.

As a reminder, our PE day this term will be Tuesday, and children should come to school wearing their PE kit on this day. Please also ensure that reading books are brought to school every day so that children can read regularly and share their progress with us.

We will begin the term with a visit to Warneford School, where the children will take part in a range of PE activities and games.

We will also be supporting Children in Need and raising money for this worthwhile cause on Friday 13th November. In class, we have lots of exciting learning planned this term. In Art, the children will take part in a Colour Quest, exploring colour and creativity.

In Science, we will be investigating Marvellous Materials, and in History, we will be learning all about the Great Fire of London and why it was such a significant event. We love celebrating children's achievements both in and out of school.

If your child has an achievement they would like to share, they are welcome to bring it in for our Friday Celebration Assembly. Please ensure they speak to the class teacher beforehand. Due to the time available during the school day, we are unable to offer 'show and tell' sessions in class.
