Welcome to Hedgehog Class
Dear Parents / Carers,
Welcome back! We hope you have had a wonderful Easter break. We are looking forward to another engaging and busy term ahead, particularly with our class trip planned to Lower Moor Farm on 28th April. This trip will help consolidate what the children have been learning in science.
This term, our topic will focus closely on weather. In our geography lessons, we will be learning about seasonal and daily weather patterns. We will explore how weather changes throughout the year, how we observe and describe different types of weather, and why these patterns matter in our everyday lives.
To find out more about what your child will be learning across the areas of the curriculum, please do take the time to look at our topic web. Additionally, we encourage you to continue viewing Tapestry, where we enjoy sharing the children’s work with you.
Our PE days will continue to be on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with a focus on rounders and tennis this term. Please ensure your child comes dressed in appropriate PE kit on these days.
We also ask that you continue to support your child at home with daily reading. Reading books will be changed on Fridays; however, please ensure that your child brings their reading books to school each day. We kindly request that you write in your child’s reading record each time they have read at home.
Our value this term is courage, and we look forward to seeing how the children embody this in their learning and interactions.
