Foxes Class

Dear Parents/Carers,

Welcome to Term 2! As we look forward to another busy and exciting term in Fox Class, we would like to share some important information and highlight the special events and celebrations we have planned as we approach Christmas.

We are especially looking forward to our Christmas performances, our whole-school trip to the pantomime and Carols by Candlelight event.

This half term, our learning will focus on healthy eating and making healthy choices. The children will explore the importance of a balanced diet, learn about different food groups, and discuss how the food we eat helps us to grow, stay healthy and have energy throughout the day.

In Design and Technology (DT), we will be exploring the theme of a healthy kitchen. The children will learn about kitchen safety, food hygiene, and the importance of preparing food safely. They will have opportunities to explore ingredients, develop their food preparation skills and learn how to make healthy food choices.

We would also like to remind you of the importance of regular reading at home. Please continue to encourage your child to read daily, whether this is their school reading book or another book they enjoy. Reading regularly helps to develop vocabulary, comprehension, fluency and a lifelong love of books. Please remember to record your child’s reading in their reading record, where applicable.
