Welcome to Foxes Class
Welcome to the Summer term. We hope you are excited as we are about being back at school after the Easter break and you enjoyed your family time together. The children have worked hard during the Spring term showing that they are resilient.
You have been sent, along with this letter, the class topic overview so you can support us in your child’s learning this term. This term we are learning about the Romans and their invasion of Britain. It would be so appreciated if you could encourage and support your child in learning about the Romans so they can share any interesting tips they have learnt with you at home.
Year 4 Multiplication Check
For those in Year 4 after half term will be their Multiplication check, testing them on their knowledge and speed recall of the 1-12 times tables. Pease continue to practice your 1-12 times tables daily and on TTRockstars. If you need any support with this please get in touch.
Year 3 and 4 Common Exception Words
The National Curriculum for Year 3 and 4 specifies 100 common exception words the children need to learn to read and spell. Please continue to revise these with your children and work through the spelling sheets which are sent and will be sent home weekly to consolidate learning.
PE
Our PE slots are Mondays and Fridays (swimming). Please ensure that your child comes to school in PE kit on these days. PE kit reminders can be found below. Please ensure your children wear the appropriate PE kits for school. As we go swimming this half term, we insist that children wear the proper swimming gear.
